Role Description
This is a full‐time role for an Estimator based anywhere in Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, analyzing plans, reviewing project specifications, and assessing materials or labor requirements. Additional tasks include collaborating with the design and project teams, ensuring accuracy in budgets, creating detailed reports, and engaging with suppliers to obtain quotes. You will contribute extensively to project planning and ensure that financial objectives are met efficiently.
Qualifications
* Experience in cost estimation, budget analysis, and cost control
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans, schematics, and technical drawings
* Strong negotiation and communication skills for supplier/vendor coordination
* Ability to operate construction and estimation software tools
* Attention to detail and strong problem‐solving abilities
* Experience in project management and working within multidisciplinary teams
* Familiarity with modular construction methods and building codes
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
* Prior experience in a similar role in the construction or transportable building industry is advantageous
* Driver's license and capability to visit remote project sites as required
