Shape the future of research at SALHN as our next Director.
As the Director of Research Operations, you will provide strategic governance and operational leadership to establish SALHN as a leading research organisation of choice. You'll manage comprehensive research operations including clinical trials, ethics committees, and data governance while fostering innovation across our network. Working collaboratively with executive teams and external partners, you'll drive research excellence that directly benefits our community through evidence-based healthcare improvements.
About the role:
* Lead governance and execution of clinical research programs while advising executive leadership on operational strategy
* Develop sustainable research initiatives that influence national and international health policy and practice
* Manage Research Hub services including ethics committees, research governance, grants management, and clinical trial operations
* Establish robust research infrastructure and safety frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and best practice
* Foster a research-rich culture that provides opportunities for staff and consumers to participate in ground-breaking studies
* Drive development of a standalone Clinical Trial Facility at Flinders Medical Centre to expand research capacity
* Embed evidence-based models of care through integrated learning health systems and data-driven practice improvements
About you:
* Proven leadership capabilities in managing interdisciplinary teams across complex research projects with multiple stakeholders
* Strategic thinking and innovation expertise with demonstrated problem resolution and decision-making skills
* Ability to chair meetings, facilitate workshops, and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
* Knowledge of health and medical research operations across government, industry, institutes, and universities
