Head Chef – Seasonal Fixed Term Contract | Accommodation + Relocation
Balanggarra Home Valley is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join their team at Home Valley Station, near Kununurra, Western Australia on a seasonal fixed-term contract. As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional culinary experience to guests at this renowned hospitality destination.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of skilled chefs to deliver high-quality meals that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce
* Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that cater to a diverse range of guest preferences
* Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
* Effectively manage kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, and staff scheduling
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team
* Contribute to the overall guest experience through exceptional customer service
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role within the hospitality industry
* Minimum 3-4 years of proven Head Chef experience is essential
* Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams
* Experience managing and supervising kitchen teams of 4-6 staff members
* Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Ability to create innovative and visually appealing menu items
* Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
* Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or equivalent industry experience
* Experience working remotely
