Duties & Responsibilities
* The Head of Finance oversees finance functions for the group, including managing cash flows, budgeting, auditing, and preparing financial reports.
* This role involves working closely with leaders to provide support, guidance, and advice, while identifying areas for improvement.
Key Relationships
* Maintains relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure adequate funding management.
* Negotiates with insurance agents during annual renewal processes and provides advice on claims.
Strategic & Commercial
* Led by the Head of Finance, this includes financial planning, analysis, and budgeting to track performance and provide insights.
* Collaborates with sales teams to analyse data, identify trends, and optimise revenue and profitability.
* Works with senior leadership to provide strategic recommendations and drive business growth.
* Develops pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
* Prepares regular financial reports and performance dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
* Cross-functional collaboration ensures alignment on financial targets and strategies.
Financial Reporting
* Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.
* Prepares monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring all tax obligations are met.
* Maintains all financial accounts, including assets, and accurately records transactions.
Team Leadership
* Leads the finance and payroll teams, developing relationships based on trust, respect, and open communication.
* Makes decisions based on what is best for the business and its people, taking ownership of these decisions.
* The Head of Finance travels to offices to maintain relationships and serves as an escalation point for the ELT, leaders, the finance team, and administration team members.
