About the opportunity
As our Administration and Marketing Officer, you will undertake a range of exciting tasks including:
Marketing support for concerts, including working with the committee and external contractors to build and sustain audiences, and development of ongoing marketing strategies.
Event management for concerts and other events (including activities such as liaison with performers and venues, ticketing administration, sourcing music scores, and key event logistics).
Attendance at committee meetings.
A range of administrative functions vital to the running of an Australian choral institution committed to excellence and artistry in performance, developing talent, and championing choral music.
As a not-for-profit incorporated association, Brisbane Chamber Choir Inc is managed by a small committee of volunteers. You will report to the President and organisational committee while closely liaising with the Artistic Director of the association for ongoing tasks.
This role is suitable for a casual contractor with access to their own work facilities, who is able to devote about 5 hours per week (on average) to the role. Times required will vary according to the performance schedule of the choir, up to a maximum of 10 hours in any week. Flexible working arrangements are possible, and the ability to attend performances in person to manage front of house will be an advantage. Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
About you
Experience working for an arts organisation (paid or volunteer capacity) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and relationship skills.
Strong administration skills, including experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies and undertaking event planning.
An interest and passion for the arts.
