Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and precise cost estimates, managing construction costs, and ensuring profit retention for the business.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality estimating services.
* Analyze plans, drawings, and documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
* Investigate, resolve, and produce sales costings, preliminary tender costings, and contract costings within set timeframes.
* Prepare production estimates on standard and custom designs, including dual occupation sites.
* Collaborate with the construction team to ensure high-level cost control is maintained at all times.
About the Role:
The Estimator plays a critical role in supporting the sales process by providing accurate and timely cost estimates. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed cost estimates for sales and production purposes.
* Manage trade/supplier ETO's to establish better working practices and ensure margin retention.
* Work closely with the construction team to ensure cost control and efficient project delivery.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Building, Construction, or related field.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in estimating or a related field.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
