Business Analyst | Darwin (Onsite) | 10 Months
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a key digital transformation initiative within the public sector. This is a full-time onsite role based in Darwin, working as part of a collaborative delivery team focused on improving and modernising core systems.

What You'll Do:
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements, including traceability.
* Conduct walkthroughs to validate and gain approval of business analysis outputs.
* Provide requirements clarification and analysis throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Prepare and execute test plans and test cases as part of quality assurance activities.
* Apply business analysis techniques to document objectives, outcomes, workflows, procedures, and work instructions.
* Produce high-quality documentation aligned with established project frameworks, within agreed scope and timeframes.
* Manage sensitive information and maintain records in line with approved information management policies.
What We're Looking For:
* 6+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, including business process modelling, information analysis, and systems integration.
* Proven ability to map business requirements to system functionality and identify improvement opportunities.
* Experience supporting projects through planning, design, testing, and implementation phases.
* Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, with experience in user research, technical writing, and usability testing.
* Familiarity with information management and requirements traceability best practices.
* High-level analytical and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills.
* Comfortable working under pressure within collaborative, outcome-focused teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and experience with JIRA and SharePoint or ability to quickly adapt.
* Experience interpreting legislative or regulatory frameworks relevant to business operations.
Desirable:
* Experience using BPMN 2.0 or similar process modelling standards.
* Prior experience working in or alongside public sector environments.
Location: Darwin, NT (100% onsite)
