SRC Aus Pty. Ltd. combines SRC Inc's 55+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) with an Australian team of EW experts to develop next-generation solutions for the Australian market. The company provides innovative products and seasoned analysts to solve Australia's toughest EW challenges – from mission planning support and threat simulator receivers that assist with airborne training and operations — to ground-based counter radio-controlled improvised explosive device EW systems.
To support these activities SRC Aus has invested heavily to develop modern, secure facilities. SRC Aus is at the leading edge within Australia's Defence Industry, by developing infrastructure that supports high-end Defence engineering and data science in locations where people want to work.
SRC Aus is seeking a talented Systems Administrator to join the ICT team, based in Canberra.
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager your duties would include:
· Administer, maintain, and support the organisation's core endpoint, server, storage, backup, network and cloud infrastructure
· Build, configure and support virtualised and containerised environments, including VMware ESXi, OpenShift Virtualisation and Kubernetes clusters
· Administer enterprise development platforms including DevSecOps tooling, CI/CD platforms, automation, and deployment systems
· Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and troubleshoot/remediate identified issues
· Maintain accurate technical documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, an advanced diploma in ICT or equivalent industry experience and possess the below experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience. Level 1, 2 or 3 experience with design, implementation, support, and administration of:
· Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
· Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent Linux distributions
· Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID
· System security hardening using recognised security frameworks
· Network infrastructure, preferably Fortinet or equivalent enterprise firewall platforms
· Core networking services including DNS and DHCP in IPv4 environments
· Virtualisation technologies (VMware or equivalent)
· Demonstrated initiative in learning and supporting new technologies and platforms
As well as:
· Enterprise storage platforms
· Container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
· Configuration management and automation (Ansible)
· DevOps and development toolchains, including Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), SonarQube, Artifactory, Jenkins
· Endpoint and patch management tools (WSUS, Satellite, PDQ Deploy)
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at Ability to access ITAR and Export controlled information. Domestic and international travel may be a requirement of the role.
