Your Employer Our client is a respected, family-owned agribusiness with deep roots in north-west New South Wales.

The Role This role is central to the company's strategic growth, responsible for driving financial leadership, rigorous cost control, and commercial analysis across three distinct business units.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Board, you'll lead a small finance team and oversee all financial, compliance, and reporting functions.
Key responsibilities: Deliver accurate, timely financial and operational reporting to MD and Board Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts across all business units Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks and liquidity Provide strategic insights through variance and profitability analysis Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements Ensure compliance, reporting integrity, and financial governance Support strategic planning through board papers and investment modelling About You You are a CPA-qualified finance leader with extensive experience managing multi-divisional business operations, ideally in agriculture, horticulture, or production environments.
Your analytical capability is matched by practical business acumen and a strong grasp of operational drivers.
To be successful, you'll have: CPA qualification (mandatory) 10+ years in financial management or control roles Experience in horticulture, agribusiness or aligned production sectors Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling Confidence in communicating with Boards and senior leadership Proven ability to drive cost control and improve margins Proficiency in Xero, Figured, Power BI or similar tools The Benefits: In addition to working within a values-driven and family-oriented business, the successful candidate will benefit from: Permanent, full-time role in Narrabri, could be remote Executive-level influence across three business divisions Flexible salary depending on experience, aiming for market level Remuneration: Salary range $150,000 – $175,000 + super Flexibility to negotiate for exceptional candidates Opportunities for long-term career growth Choose Agri Talent Agri Talent provides permanent recruitment and executive search services exclusively for Australian agribusiness.
