As a Claims Advisor, you will manage a portfolio of Industrial Deafness workers compensation claims, ensuring the efficient handling and resolution of claims while providing excellent customer service. This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders, providers, and third-party/ corporate clients to support the claims process.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Industrial Deafness workers compensation claims.
- Provide timely updates and resolution of claims in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, brokers, and third-party providers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant workers compensation legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, diarise claims for follow-up, and proactively manage claims.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including iCare & SIRA, to ensure effective claims management.
- Continually identify opportunities for process improvement within a continuous improvement framework.
What you’ll bring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively manage your claims portfolio.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience using databases.
- A solid understanding of Workers Compensation Legislation and industry processes.
- Experience in working with third-party providers, legal panel providers, and corporate clients.
- A cooperative mindset with the ability to direct and work well with internal and external teams.
