This involves managing the end-to-end process for regulating markets, including supervision, triage, investigation, and enforcement.
* Provide high-level legal, policy, and strategic advice on financial markets regulation
* Lead or contribute to key policy projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
* Draft legal instruments and process applications for regulatory relief
* Develop legal templates and assist in contract management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
About Your Role:
As a specialist lawyer, you will provide expert guidance on financial markets regulation, lead key policy projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in law and experience in financial services law, regulatory environments, government policy, or commercial law
* Understanding of the Market Integrity Rules, Corporations Act, and the obligations imposed on Australian Financial Services Licensees and Australian Market Licensees
* Strong collaborator with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in complex regulatory environments, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to deliver timely, high-quality advice
