Based out of our stylish Robina (Gold Coast) office.

Overview

As a key technical leader, you'll provide expert guidance on building methodology, regulatory compliance and technical documentation. Your recommendations will drive best practice, efficiency and cost‐effectiveness while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements and company construction standards. Reporting

Reporting to the National Product Commercialisation Manager.

Responsibilities
* Review and implement all National Regulation and Standard changes
* Identify and monitor areas of non‐compliance including recommendations for contingency planning
* Develop and implement change management plans for each regulatory update
* Support and contribute to delivering new product Construction Details to the business in full and aligned with product release schedule
* Undertake regular review of applicable actions listed in the strategic plan to ensure each is completed as described in the plan
* Review of build methods and detailing and provide support to review details prior to issue to the business
* Advise of up‐coming changes required to ensure continued compliance of our products and build methods
* Monitor and report on the status of the implementation of business support tools, to ensure regulatory change compliance
* Contribute ideas that improve the quality, cost effectiveness and ease of construction
* Liaise with Construction & Operational teams nationally
* Research product & innovation opportunities to ensure all new initiatives meet Metricon building practices
* Ensure details match construction methods used, via site visits & or liaising with Construction team, recommending changes to details
* Review all product improvements and site instructions for compliance prior to adoption
* Support the business on quality control and training of changes to compliance requirements; and
* Conduct stakeholder meetings when required and contribute to team meetings to ensure design impact of changes to compliance requirements is understood

Qualifications
* Exceptional understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards for Residential Building elements, and other building code reference documents
* High level of Construction method knowledge, both practical and technical
* Leadership / Confident / Enthusiastic
* Attention to detail
* Innovative mindset
* Time management – planning & organising
* Ability to easily build rapport
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, questioning and probing)
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Other Requirements

This role requires a national police check to be undertaken by the successful applicant.
