The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria's largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Your Opportunity
Food Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by patient centred care, unity, and respect.
Duties Include
* Prepare and deliver meals to patients
* Ensure a clean kitchen environment is maintained
* Liaise with team leaders and ward staff
* Use of chemicals
* Deliver and return all trolleys, food items and utensils from kitchen, wards and other areas
* Stripping of all meal trays and separation of components ready for washing
* Operation of dishwashing
About You
* Basic Food Handling Certificate
* Follow the department's food safety plan for compliance for audit ready.
* Excellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environment
* Ability to safely use catering equipment. Follow equipment operating procedures in use and knowledge of dismantle for cleaning.
* Participate in a roster and work in an allocated area and other areas as requested
