Position Objective
The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the quality of food production and hygiene standard is maintained at the highest level within the kitchen department at all times.
Supported by experienced chefs, you will be accountable for continuing to achieve success in this busy country hotel/motel.
This role is very much hands‑on, requiring considerable attention to detail and a high level of organization.
A positive work attitude and the ability to conceive innovative ideas is a must.
Key Expectations
* Chef Qualifications with previous relevant industry experience in kitchen management.
* Menu planning, inventory management, cost effective food preparation.
* Manage food safety and adhere to compliance standards. Inspect and clean equipment to maintain functionality.
* Create and manage kitchen staff rosters.
* Excellent personal presentation.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
* Collaboration with Management to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth as function facilities become available.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team.
* Flexibility to work evenings and w/e (5 day work week). The ideal candidate loves food and the dining experience.
