About the Role
Brisbane Girls Grammar School is seeking an experienced and talented Upper Strings Teacher to join our Instrumental Music Faculty from Term 4, 2026. This is a part‐time (0.6FTE) opportunity until the end of 2027.
Working across both the Junior and Senior Schools, you will play an important role in delivering the School's Upper Strings Program for students in Years 5-12.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding Upper Strings specialist and educator, committed to inspiring students and supporting their musical development across a broad range of abilities, from emerging performers to highly accomplished musicians.
For key responsibilities:
* Developing students' technical proficiency, musicianship, and performance confidence
* Directing and rehearsing string ensembles
* Preparing students for concerts, competitions, examinations, and a range of performance opportunities
* Contributing positively to the collaborative culture of the Instrumental Music Faculty through active participation in departmental initiatives and events
* Fostering an engaging, supportive, and aspirational learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full musical potential and develop a lifelong appreciation of music.
