Job Description
The role of a Cyber Security Specialist is to protect data and information between government, businesses, and citizens. This involves learning how government keeps its systems secure and managing risks.
Responsibilities
* Assist in resolving incidents and monitoring security intrusions
* Advise on the management and protection of personal information
* Monitor data transactions in and out of a network environment
* Research methods for protecting personal information
* Work with relevant teams to provide virus protection defenses and review information systems for breaches in security
* Assist in reviewing and preparing policies and procedures around security matters
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree in Information Technology or a related field and possess knowledge of firewall software, operating systems, intrusion detection software, system security, web hosting security, and network security.
Ideal candidates will be able to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions, have good time management skills, and be discreet and mature when dealing with sensitive issues.
