The Opportunity
As Payroll Manager, you will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large and diverse workforce across multiple entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence. You'll lead a small but capable team that has capacity to grow, working collaboratively across HR, Finance and broader business functions to streamline processes and deliver continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a confident payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving efficiency and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a payroll team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
* End-to-End Payroll Processing

Oversee timely and accurate processing of high-volume, multi-entity payrolls.
* Ensure Compliance and reporting adherence to relevant legislation, including PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, system integration, and automation.
* Support and manage audits and maintain robust internal controls.
* Partner with senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations to deliver service excellence.
About You
* Proven experience managing large, complex payrolls (800+ employees).
* Strong leadership skills with at least 2 years managing teams.
* Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
* Advanced Excel and payroll systems knowledge.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
