About the Role

The Senior Agile Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent, complex IT initiatives, operating within Agile and SAFe ways of working. Working within an Agile Release Train (ART), this role leads multiple squads and partners closely with Product Managers and senior business stakeholders to deliver meaningful, measurable value to the university.

The role plays a critical leadership function in translating strategic objectives into executable delivery outcomes. You will work collaboratively with senior leaders across Finance, HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance, division leaders, administrators, and IT teams to ensure complex, multi-faceted initiatives are delivered in alignment with the university's strategic priorities.

Leveraging your experience in both traditional project management and Agile delivery, you will apply sound judgement, influence, and initiative to manage timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives. You will foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, while ensuring effective governance and policy compliance within a large, complex IT environment.

About You

As the Senior Agile Project Manager, you will have:

* Demonstrated proficiency, with certification as appropriate in Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, with a deep understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks
* Senior experience working as a Project Manager or Scrum Master across various technologies with a proven track record of delivering successful solutions through PI iterations
* Proven track record of successfully leading multiple concurrent IT initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery, preferably using Agile methodologies
* Demonstrated ability to create and present business cases and strategies for consideration for funding of IT initiatives
* Superior ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across the university, including senior executives, faculty, administrators, and technical teams, to gather requirements, align expectations, and ensure success.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate multiple cross-functional Agile teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance
* Understanding of IT systems, technologies, and processes relevant to university environments, enabling effective management and oversight of IT initiatives

Remuneration

A competitive salary, including a market-leading employer superannuation contribution of 17%, will be offered to the successful candidate.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
