Purpose
The Logistics Planner governs the movement of product through the network, ensuring freight execution, consolidation integrity, and on‑time delivery. They translate replenishment requirements into shipment plans, manage PO/SO transactions, and maintain visibility across all lanes. This role is the control tower for logistics execution, enabling ATS by ensuring every shipment is consolidated, booked, documented, and released to plan.
Key Responsibilities
Govern
* Govern freight flows across all lanes, ensuring consolidation programs (FCL/LCL/BCN) are applied consistently.
* Govern PO/SO execution to ensure transactional closure in SAP B1 and inventory visibility across the network.
* Govern logistics dashboards and milestone tracking to ensure ATS readiness is visible across the network.
Orchestrate
* Align suppliers so freight bookings match weekly consolidation decisions.
* Execute freight bookings with forwarders, adhering to ATS consolidation plans, priorities, and timelines.
* Create and validate documentation (invoice, packing list, HBL) for inter‑node shipments; ensure release at destination and elevate supplier payment issues that cause delays.
* Provide airfreight quotes for approval.
* Create and raise SO/PO execution to replenish the plan through the network to successfully achieve ATS.
* Maintain milestone updates (CRD, vessel/flight, port arrival, clearance) in SAP B1/PLM.
* Provide shipment ETAs to the control tower for ATS assurance.
* Escalate delays and enact recovery plans to protect ATS.
* Coordinate inbound receiving windows with WHS Supervisor to enable 24‑hour putaway.
* Ensure CRDs match freight bookings and resolve documentation gaps with supplier planners.
Skills & Experience
* Technical: SAP B1, PLM, Elastic, Power BI, advanced Excel.
* Experience: 5+ years in logistics planning, freight execution, or supply chain operations.
* Education: Tertiary qualification in logistics/supply chain discipline, OR 10+ years equivalent life experience.
* Strengths: Global Supply Chain, transactional accuracy, customs/documentation control, visibility management, ability to orchestrate across suppliers, carriers, warehouses and teams.
Key Measurables (KPIs)
* ATS Enablement: % shipments delivered to sustain 6 weeks of availability.
* DIFOT: % shipments delivered in full, on time.
* Transaction & Visibility Accuracy: % PO/SO closure in SAP B1 and milestone updates maintained in real time.
