About Us

Court Services Victoria (CSV) provides corporate and facility services to support the operations of Victoria's courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court, the County Court, the Magistrates' Court, the Children's Court, and the Coroners Court, as well as the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Judicial College of Victoria.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV), part of the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, plays a vital role in delivering justice across metropolitan and regional areas. Handling over 300,000 cases annually at 51 venues, MCV accounts for around 90% of all cases heard in Victorian courts. The Court is committed to being innovative, accessible, and responsive, providing high-quality services to the Victorian community.

About the Role

This role supports therapeutic court programs such as Court Integrated Services Program (CISP), the Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) and Navigation and Triage (NAT) Program at Shepparton Magistrates' Court, focusing on assisting individuals with complex needs through a client-centred, problem-solving approach. It involves leading a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with justice, health, and community agencies to improve outcomes and enhance community safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support a team of case managers working with clients on bail
- Support the management and leadership of other Family Violence, Koori Court and other programs as required
- Assist individuals facing social or cultural disadvantage, including mental illness, disability, or substance abuse
- Promote rehabilitation and behavioural change through therapeutic approaches
- Collaborate with government departments, police, and community agencies
- Support the expansion of specialist courts and improve court user experience

About You

- Tertiary qualification (Diploma level or higher highly desirable) in a relevant field such as case management, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or similar
- Demonstrated experience or capability in managing clients with complex needs, with strong knowledge in areas such as mental health, substance use, family violence, or homelessness
- Proven ability or experience in supervising case managers, particularly in managing clinical risk and mitigation strategies, within a specialised area of practice
