Salary: $151,272 - $190,739.12 p.a. plus 11.5% Super

**About the role**
Leading a large department of 250+ team members, this position is responsible for the delivery of customer focused maintenance and renewal of Council assets and infrastructure, including the implementation of ongoing services and works programs and emergency management support.
**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Director - City Services, the focus of this position is to:
- Direct and coordinate the Works & Services department to function at an optimal level.
- Model leadership behaviour that contributes to a positive and efficient work culture.
- Develop a budget and set financial targets that will influence a framework for strategic decision making, financial sustainability and objective goal setting.
- Develop appropriate business strategies that seek to improve profitability and the delivery of quality customer and community outcomes.
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- A degree in Civil, Structural or Environmental Engineering or other relevant discipline, such as Project Management
- Extensive experience in the coordination and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership/management position Proven success in implementing an integrated plan to bring about desired changes in organizational operations
- Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
