Automotive Light Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Full Time, Highfields, QLD.
Highfields Mechanical and Offroad, a team of fully qualified automotive technicians and auto electricians, is looking for an experienced technician to join our Light Vehicle team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric light vehicles using advanced computerized diagnostic and servicing equipment.
- Carry out general, major, and manufacturer logbook servicing for a wide range of makes including Audi, BMW, and Mercedes to ensure warranty compliance.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain engines, cooling systems, radiators, and exhaust systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Perform comprehensive repairs to braking systems, clutches, and suspension components, including Adaptive and Stability Control systems.
- Diagnose and repair transmission and drivetrain assemblies in vehicles.
- Conduct engine tune‐ups, EFI repairs, and emission‐related fault rectification to optimize performance.
- Service and repair automotive air conditioning and climate control systems to ensure optimal cabin functionality.
- Test, adjust, and reassemble mechanical components after repair to verify proper performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of all servicing, repairs, and diagnostic inspections performed within the workshop.
Qualifications
- Qualified light vehicle technician with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in auto electrical systems, air conditioning, and electric vehicle technology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and interpret English technical materials.
- Respectful of local customs and a self‐motivated team player.
