The Role This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to grow into senior management while making a difference in women's access to justice.
You'll: Provide high-quality legal advice, casework & representation in complex matters Supervise and mentor a team of 4 solicitors Act as Principal Legal Officer when required Lead community outreach and deliver legal education Build relationships with stakeholders across legal, government & community sectors Regular travel, including overnight stays, will form part of your outreach work.
About You You are a values-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments and supports your team to succeed.
To be successful, you will have: Admission as a solicitor in Australia + eligibility for an NT Practising Certificate 4+ years post-admission experience in relevant practice areas Experience (or strong interest) in DFSV, family law or child protection Skills in trauma-informed, culturally safe practice, ideally with Aboriginal communities Leadership and mentoring experience within a legal practice Additional requirements: Ochre Card (WWCC), National Police Clearance, Manual Driver's Licence.
