The role includes
* Responsible for the execution of occupational health and hygiene requirements
* Ensuring all statutory requirements for Occupation Hygiene (Dust, Fumes, Noise, Diesel Particulates, Biological, Heat, Stress, Vibration) quotas, monitoring, testing, analysis and reporting is entered into Westgold databases
* Assist in the develop of Occupational Hygiene governance documentation
* Assist with control verification and field task observations
* Providing accurate and reliable data for technical reports and proposals
* Completing tasks as allocated and directed by the Hygiene Superintendent
What do I need?
* Previous experience as an Occupational Health / Hygiene Technician
* Demonstrated experience in noise surveys and management plans
* Demonstrated experience in dust monitoring and water sampling
* Proficiency in quantitative RPD / HPD fit testing methods
* Mine Air Quality / Surface Ventilation Technician (desirable but not essential)
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
* Experience with the mining sector working in the Health and Safey field
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* National Police Clearance – 12 month validity
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
