MARS Recruitment are actively recruiting for a highly motivated Contracts Specialist to support a Contracts Manager in driving operational excellence within their contract management function. This role plays a pivotal part in maximising benefits while minimising risk across contracts with clients and suppliers.
The Contracts Specialist will work closely with Operations, Commercial and other business units to ensure effective governance, mobilisation of contracts and continuous improvement in efficiency and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, implement and manage new contracts, amendments, and close-outs
* Provide advice on contractual matters to promote agreement and mitigate disputes
* Support Operations in managing loss claims and achieving best-for-business outcomes
* Assist in the preparation of tenders and supplier agreements, balancing legal, operational, and commercial requirements
* Develop and maintain systems, procedures, and databases for effective contract management
* Identify opportunities for improvement and deliver practical solutions
ABOUT YOU
* Strong understanding of contract law and risk management principles
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written presentation skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word essential)
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Law or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in contract management
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
