Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Pioneering guest satisfaction by delivering outstanding culinary experiences that exceed expectations
* Cultivating innovation and pushing the boundaries of creative cuisine
* Providing hands-on leadership during all service periods and shifts to drive success
* Collaborating closely with our F&B Service leadership team to achieve shared goals
* Ensuring rigorous departmental training aligns with our high standards for quality and safety
* Fostering seamless communication and coordination with all hotel departments to deliver a seamless experience
* Overseeing workplace health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
* Contributing to the development of seasonal menus, promotional packages and event offerings that reflect current trends and guest preferences
* Partnering with the Executive Chef on budget planning and cost controls to support financial objectives
* Supporting the effective procurement, production and presentation of all culinary delights
* Leading and maintaining food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Inspiring and cultivating a highly engaged team with a strong local reputation, attracting and retaining top culinary talent
Your talents will include:
* Minimum Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery
* A proven leader who will drive the kitchen brigade and foster a positive and disciplined culture to produce award-winning cuisine
* A team player who can coordinate with the floor team to deliver an elevated guest experience
* Experience in the control of food and labour costs
* Well-developed communication and time management skills
* A strong visionary with an ambitious expectation of guest service
