Support Learning in a Dynamic Classroom Environment
The School Officer position plays a vital role in supporting student learning and classroom experiences.
This permanent role involves working under the direction of a teacher to provide individualised support to students with additional needs, ensuring their participation in learning and school activities.
* Assist students inside and outside the classroom to engage in learning and school activities.
* Provide support for students with specific learning needs, including note-taking, reading, and offering feedback to teachers.
* Reinforce appropriate student behaviour and maintain a clean and tidy classroom environment.
* Perform administrative tasks, such as record maintenance and resource development.
Mandatory criteria include holding a current Working with Children Suitability Card, a valid driver's licence, and the ability to travel within the designated area. A physical assessment will also be required during the selection process.
Desirable qualifications include a Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent.
