As the business continues to evolve and grow, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the finance team. This role will suit a technically strong and commercially minded accountant who is looking to further develop their career within a listed environment and contribute to a high-performing finance function. The Opportunity Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and insightful analysis to support business decision making. You will also act as a mentor and point of guidance for junior team members while contributing to process improvement and finance projects across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a CA/CPA qualified accountant looking to broaden their exposure within a large and complex business environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Lead the preparation and delivery of month-end financial results Prepare and review journals, accruals and adjustments Produce and analyse management reports, providing clear variance analysis and commentary Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations Statutory & Compliance Assist with the preparation of board reporting Lead the preparation of half-year and full-year statutory reporting requirements Prepare statutory returns and ABS surveys Planning & Analysis Support budgeting and forecasting processes Prepare financial and cost analysis to support commercial decision-making Financial Controls & Systems Ensure strong financial governance and adherence to internal controls Oversee CAPEX allocation processes and maintain the asset register Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting Collaboration & Leadership Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members Partner with internal stakeholders across the business Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and projects About You To be successful in this role you will bring: CA or CPA qualification A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business Approximately 4 years' experience in a financial accounting or similar role Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability Experience working with finance systems (Dynamics 365 experience highly regarded) Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business You will also be a proactive and commercially curious professional who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to continuous improvement.
