At Laravel, our mid-market and enterprise clients have unique and complex requirements related to building, deploying, and monitoring Laravel applications. They run mission-critical workloads on Laravel Cloud and Forge, with Nightwatch to aid in observability, and rely on us to help them succeed from the first conversation through long-term operation. Our enterprise team partners closely with customers during sales outreach, onboarding, migration, and scaling, ensuring they have the technical guidance, best practices, and product expertise needed to run Laravel and use our products confidently at any scale. It is a highly collaborative, customer-facing group that blends technical literacy with Laravel expertise to guide clients toward successful outcomes with our products.
About the role
As an Enterprise Success Engineer, youll be the primary technical partner and key client contact for a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise customers, stepping in during late-stage sales and staying engaged through onboarding, migrations, scaling, and long-term operations. You will build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, develop a deep understanding of their business, and act as their go-to advisor for leveraging Laravel and our products at scale. You will investigate, triage, and address challenges with structured recommendations and remediations to real-time needs. This role blends technical problem-solving, relationship management, and consultative guidance to support enterprise clients with a white-glove approach. This is a remote role, which may require occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise customers from onboarding through ongoing engagements
- Guide onboarding and migration projects, including environment setup, private infrastructure, database migrations, and more
- Provide consultative technical guidance on best practices, deployment workflows, and application performance within our managed infrastructure
- Proactively monitor customer health and usage, addressing risks before they become issues
- Own challenges end-to-end, addressing real-time client needs and acquiring recent skills to resolve complex issues
- Create and document client-ready materials such as written guides and presentations to facilitate discussion or progress
- Advocate for customers internally by relaying product feedback and bespoke needs to Product and Engineering leadership
Requirements
- 2+ years of client-facing experience, directly engaging with clients across advisory, implementation, or ongoing operational cadences
- Experience with Laravel, the framework, in a personal or professional capacity
- Technical literacy of general web application constructs (frontend, backend, database, cache, object storage, asset bundling, etc.) and relevant cloud infrastructure/ deployment strategies (compute, networking, storage, security, etc.)
- Working knowledge of the commercial and technical tradeoffs of Cloud technologies, including concepts such as serverless, autoscaling, networking/bandwidth, databases, and other related concepts
You might thrive in this role if
- You have experience in a client-facing role, including management consulting, investment banking, technical account management, sales engineering, or related roles
- You have led or directly supported implementation, migration, or cutover efforts impacting production workloads
- You have written code that has made it to production, including side/hobby projects
- You have experience working in a startup environment, in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS companies
- You have personal or professional experience with cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, or developer-focused platforms such as Laravel Forge, Laravel Vapor, Heroku, Vercel, Railway, etc
- You work on side projects or have contributed to open source projects
