Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer | Water Due to continued growth, our client, a well‑known diversified design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer with experience working on water treatment projects, to join their team based in Melbourne. As a member of the water team you will play a crucial role delivering complex water infrastructure projects throughout Australia.
Responsibilities
Management and ownership of engineering and design projects.
Management of project schedules/tasks and use of project management tools.
Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
Ensuring all aspects of mechanical design are to specification throughout the project.
Mentoring younger engineers.
Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years’ as a Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector.
Design experience with a strong understanding of industry standards.
Ability to work in engineering and design teams.
Experience managing projects within scope, budget and schedule.
Previous experience in an engineering consultancy.
Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Time management and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Attention to detail.
CPEng/RPEQ Mechanical Engineering.
