We are seeking a passionate and visionary Director of Music to lead our vibrant music program at our Preparatory School (Years Prep-6) commencing at the start of the **** school year due to our current Director retiring.
Reporting to the Head of Preparatory School this is a unique opportunity to foster creativity, confidence and collaboration through high-quality classroom teaching, co-curricular ensembles, choirs and performance opportunities.
This role has an administrator to assist the Music Department and works closely with the Director of Music Senior School.
Desired Qualifications
Extensive experience in primary music education capable of leading educators and tutors
Excellence in choral and instrumental direction and bring energy and continued success to whole school events, concerts and productions
Experience in mentoring staff, coordinating musical tutors and contributing to the cultural life of the School
Outstanding communication, public speaking and interpersonal skills
A capacity to build strong inclusive relationships with students, families, staff and external stakeholders
Proven ability to strategically manage human, financial and physical resources to deliver high-impact outcomes
A commitment to fostering a positive school culture through meaningful connections between students, educators and the broader community

Candidates must be eligible for or hold current Queensland Teacher Registration and submit to an Anglican Diocese National Register check.
Current CPR and First Aid qualifications or willingness to obtain are also required.
