We have an incredible opportunity for an APS6 Planner to join our VIC TAS Regional Services Team. The APS6 Planner is a team membership position within the NDIA and will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. You will be responsible for liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the NDIA, and provide technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice.
Responsibilities
* Communicating with participants and their representatives about decision making when it comes to the participant pathway
* Monitoring the impact and quality of supports to ensure supports continually align to participant outcomes
* Contributing to performance targets as outlined in the Participant Service Guarantee
* Ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks, agency guidelines and regulations
* Collaborating with team members and assisting to develop specialised knowledge in areas of expertise via coaching and mentoring of staff
Eligibility
To join our team, you will have:
* Experience in the disability and/or allied health sector would be desirable, however it is not essential
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain networks
* Experience in managing a high-performance team
* Flexibility – being able to get the job done around many barriers and hiccups
* High levels of integrity and professionalism to support our values and mission

This role is performed from Hobart - TAS only. Remote working locations will not be considered.
We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
