Multicap Tasmania is a leading disability services provider with growing operations across Tasmania. The organisation is consciously evolving from traditional charity model to contemporary practice. Our participant base has grown significantly in both numbers and diversity. We now support people with a broad range of disabilities and provide services statewide, from Smithton to St Helens to Hobart.
We are currently seeking applications for a Non-Executive Board Director. As a member of the Multicap Tasmania board, you will require understanding in contemporary disability practice, value lived experience and guide strategic decisions that balance commercial sustainability with authentic commitment to inclusive values. Multicap Tasmania is a registered charity, a not for profit provider and an NDIS registered provider.
We are seeking experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Financial governance, commercial acumen and experience overseeing sustainability in complex, government-funded environments, ideally CA or CPA qualified;
• Clinical governance expertise and experience overseeing quality, safety and regulatory compliance within disability or human services environment.
The following diversity considerations are actively encouraged:
• Lived experience of disability: either personal, family, disability support or advocacy. We encourage nominations that may require some development and/or support to participate fully as a Director.
Geographic Representation: As a statewide organisation, we seek geographic diversity with a preference for nominations from the North and North West.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our board of remunerated directors and to be part of our vibrant organisation’s future. Board Directors can attend meetings virtually or in person, however there is an expectation of attendance at some events during the year.
