The Opportunity
Canberra Consulting is seeking experienced testing, quality assurance and release management professionals to support the delivery and sustainment of critical ICT systems within a major Federal Government environment.
These opportunities sit within enterprise quality assurance and service governance functions responsible for ensuring technology solutions are thoroughly tested, effectively governed and successfully transitioned into production environments.
Working across complex delivery programs and operational ICT environments, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, reducing delivery risk and supporting the successful release of technology services.
These positions are ideal for experienced Test Leads, Test Managers, Senior Test Analysts, Quality Assurance Specialists, Release Managers and Change & Release Coordinators seeking challenging and meaningful work.
Responsibilities may include
* Developing and overseeing test strategies, test plans and quality assurance frameworks.
* Coordinating testing activities across multiple projects, systems and environments.
* Leading or mentoring testing resources and supporting capability uplift initiatives.
* Reviewing and assuring testing artefacts, documentation and quality processes.
* Managing testing risks, issues, defects and quality metrics.
* Supporting test automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Coordinating enterprise change and release activities.
* Managing release schedules, deployment readiness and transition activities.
* Facilitating governance forums, reviews and quality assurance processes.
* Supporting ITIL-aligned change and release management practices.
* Preparing reports, dashboards and briefings for senior stakeholders.
* Collaborating with project teams, technical specialists and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Skills & Experience: Technical Capabilities
* Demonstrated experience in software testing, quality assurance, test management or release management roles.
* Experience developing or coordinating test strategies, plans, scripts and reporting.
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and quality assurance frameworks.
* Experience supporting enterprise ICT delivery and service transition activities.
* Knowledge of change, release and deployment management practices.
* Experience working within Agile, DevOps, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and risk management skills.
Highly Regarded Experience
In one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
* ISTQB certification.
* Test automation frameworks and tooling.
* Azure DevOps, Jira or similar delivery platforms.
* ITIL service management environments.
* Enterprise-scale ICT programs.
* Change and release governance.
* Federal Government ICT environments.
* Service transition and operational readiness activities.
Security Requirements
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a security clearance. Candidates currently holding NV2 clearances will be highly regarded.
