About our school
Stella Maris is a primary school, with an enrolment of over 720 students, located in a rainforest setting at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Staff members are committed to having our students achieve their individual and collective potential through curriculum which is differentiated and learning and teaching which is collaborative, contemporary and high quality.
Year Level Teaching Teams are expected to work in a team-oriented way. This year Explicit Improvement Agenda (EIA) is Sentence Construction. We offer a wide range of co‑curricular activities, including singing and choirs, dance, instrumental music, speech and drama, art, chess and sport as well as many cultural groups and events. - Work hours: 10 underlying and permanent hours per week with a variation to increase to 25 hours for 2026
- Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $34.17/hour + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programmes for students including the use of technology and learning support activities
- Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence‑based intervention strategies
- Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
- Documenting observation notes, intervention programmes and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Strong skills in planning, preparing and delivering effective teaching programmes
- Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence‑based interventions
- Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
- Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
- Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programmes and preparing classroom materials
- Certificate III in Education Support
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
