Description
The Varonis Security Analyst will engage directly with customers to maximize their value from Varonis products. Responsibilities include incident response, investigations, alert reviews, and security posture assessments. The analyst must possess deep knowledge of Varonis platforms and a commitment to detecting insider threats and cyberattacks. They will develop expertise in security ecosystems (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, ITSM, EDR, IPS/IDS, Active Directory, Firewall, DNS) and contribute to making Varonis a core component of security programs. Participation in incident response operations, coordination across regions, and customer education on cyber threats and trends are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the analyst will support technical sales activities, demonstrating Varonis' value to technical and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Deliver threat detection and response initiatives to customers
* Ensure Varonis products are integrated into customers' security stacks and workflows
* Monitor security threats and operational impacts
* Participate in incident response operations across regions
* Identify and communicate inhibitors in product operations
* Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations
* Coordinate with account, IR, and architecture teams
* Continuously expand security knowledge
* Document and manage work via Salesforce
Qualifications
* 3+ years as a Security Analyst or Engineer; 5+ years preferred
* Experience with Varonis is a plus
* Strong documentation and activity tracking skills
* Technical sales experience is advantageous
* Customer-facing experience
* Effective presentation and persuasion skills
* Strong time management and self-initiative
* Experience with Asian Pacific customers is a plus
* Based in Australia
