Lead Practitioner - AOD Services
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our team in providing innovative and effective services to individuals struggling with Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) issues.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality AOD assessment, counselling, and care and recovery services. This includes ensuring that processes are implemented to assist staff in providing consistent client-focused service, monitoring client progress and outcomes, and developing productive relationships within the team.
The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain knowledge of developments in AOD practices. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team and contribute to quality team performance and team well-being.
This is a full-time position based in Mildura, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies to ensure consistent client-focused service delivery.
* Monitor client progress and outcomes, providing assistance and specialist expertise to staff as needed.
* Build and maintain productive relationships within the team, contributing to quality team performance and team well-being.
* Maintain knowledge of developments in AOD practices, participating in government and sector forums where relevant.
* Contribute to system reviews and improvements as requested.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Bachelor of Human Services or Master of Social Work qualification.
* Diploma in Health or Community Services.
* AOD Skill Set or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
* Relevant experience in a social service environment.
* Forensic Fundamentals.
* A current and valid Working with Children's Check.
* A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
