Associate Director, Regional Coordination

* Full-time Temporary Clerk Grade 11/12 ($149,739 - $173,174 per annum) role to 31 March 2027, based in Dubbo.

Lead complex, place‐based initiatives across Western NSW, partnering across government to deliver better services and outcomes for regional communities.

About the Role
The Western NSW Team is seeking a temporary Associate Director, Regional Coordination until 31 March 2027, with the potential for extension or conversion to ongoing.
In this senior leadership role, you will drive and deliver place‐based, regional and state‐wide initiatives that improve outcomes for communities across regional and rural NSW. Working at the centre of government, you will lead complex programs and service delivery reform in partnership with NSW Government agencies, local councils and the private sector.
You will play a key role in coordinating cross‐agency responses to urgent and complex issues, advancing whole‐of‐government priorities and delivering practical, responsive changes at a regional level. The role also provides high‐level strategic advice to senior executives to support informed decision‐making and effective delivery. To learn more about the role, please review the Role Description.

We're Looking For
You are a confident, collaborative and outcomes‐focused leader with experience delivering complex initiatives in fast‐paced, multi‐stakeholder environments. You operate comfortably at a senior level, balancing strategic insight with practical delivery and building trusted relationships across government and regional communities.
You will bring:

* Strong project and program management capability across multiple interdependencies
* Experience applying subject matter expertise to planning, delivery and evaluation
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and strong regional networks
* A proven track record of cross‐agency collaboration to deliver shared outcomes
* Experience working with regional communities and government partners, including coordinated responses to regional youth crime
* Clear, influential communication skills, with the ability to provide high‐quality advice and manage complex viewpoints
* A results‐focused approach with strong measurement, evaluation and reporting capability.
