About the role
Our busy Restaurant is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team in Geelong. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Head Chef in planning and executing daily menu items
* Supervising and coordinating the work of the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and consistency
* Maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation and service
* Running multi sections
* Monitoring stock levels and placing orders to maintain inventory
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
* Providing training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
* Collaborating with the Front of House team to enhance the overall customer experience
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
* Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
* Relevant qualifications in Culinary Arts or a related field

Pay: $79,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
