About The Role
The Manager Learning and Development (MLD) leads and delivers effective operational training to meet the capability requirements set by CFA's Chief and Deputy Chief Officers. This role ensures members build the skills necessary to safely and effectively perform their duties in the field.
The MLD oversees operational training priorities across a Region and supports State-wide learning initiatives. Leading a team of training professionals, the MLD drives high-quality service delivery, ensures alignment with strategic goals, and fosters strong internal and external partnerships.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in a training and development leadership role within a large organisation, with expertise in various training themes. A degree or postgraduate qualification in training, education, or leadership is highly desirable.
* A strong knowledge of contemporary training strategies in large-scale, regionalised service delivery environments.
* Understanding of the complexities in delivering training programs to a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed workforce.
* Proficiency in training delivery, development, facilitation, coaching, and needs analysis.
* A record of achieving high performance objectives.
* Experience in influencing and managing internal and external stakeholder partnerships.
* Proven leadership in motivating and developing high-performing teams and managing multiple projects across diverse stakeholders.
* Excellent business planning skills, including resource management.
