THE ROLE
A senior opportunity is available for a Tax Senior Associate to join a highly regarded national tax team, based in Sydney. The role focuses primarily on income tax and offers exposure to some of the most complex transactions and disputes in the market. You'll work closely with partners and collaborate with lawyers across multiple offices on advisory matters, major projects and high-value tax controversies.
You will work across a diverse range of matters, including:
* Advising major Australian and global corporates on tax strategy for commercial transactions
* Managing tax disputes, including transfer pricing matters, ATO engagement, ADR processes and litigation
* Providing technically sound, commercially focused tax advice for transactions in sectors such as technology and energy
* Working closely with other practice groups to deliver integrated advice
* Supporting clients through private rulings, ATO reviews, FIRB processes and audits
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
* Experience in tax law, ideally from a leading or specialist tax practice
* Background in advisory, transactional and/or tax controversy matters
* Strong client exposure and the ability to provide advice independently and in team settings
* Capability to manage smaller matters autonomously and contribute effectively to larger matters
* A proactive mindset with a desire to grow, mentor and build your professional network
