What you'll be doing in this role:
* Leading the development, organisation, maintenance and monitoring of contract notifications, contractual tools and upstream contractual obligations.
* Preparing and drafting contractual and commercial notifications to ensure AusNet's contractual and commercial positions are appropriately protected.
* Identification, assessment, mitigation and quantification of commercial risks, providing analytical support on commercial risks, commercial positions and potential outcomes.
* Establishment, maintenance and organisation of project commercial data, datasets and tools required to evidence project contractual outcomes.
* Analysis of project spend and project data to highlight potential issues, create insights and support contract claims, spend categorization and robustness of governance.
* Maintenance of project commercial / financial compliance documentation, taking inputs from cross‐functional teams and supporting continuous improvement of project practices.
* Coordination with downstream contractual obligations, highlighting areas of misalignment and gaps.
* Providing inputs to key project financial models, review as quality control on outputs, verification of contract quantities and ad‐hoc support for commercial matters through the project delivery phase.
* Build trusting relationships across the AusNet business with various internal stakeholders.
* Demonstrate a continuous improvement culture in management of contracts, commercial processes and reporting.
You don't need to check every box, however we're looking for a good combination of:
* Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting and Law or other applicable discipline.
* 5+ years post graduate commercial and/or project management experience in infrastructure asset development and/or delivery.
* Proven track record in managing contractual processes, including contract claims, notifications and KPI tracking across cross-functional and cross-organisational teams on large scale projects.
* Experience in procurement contacts associated with large scale infrastructure projects, preferably with exposure to Incentivised Target Cost (ITC) contracts.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate and negotiate successful commercial outcomes with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of financial concepts, including time‐value-of money.
* Highly adept in Microsoft Office suite; able to independently use software tools to track, analyse and communicate commercial items across broad teams.
* A self‐starter with strong organisation and administrative skills.
* Excellent ability to create high‐quality quantitative analysis (analytical skills) and written materials (visual storying). A highly analytical thinker with the ability to deliver on commercial and/or corporate strategy outcomes.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders as part of a large, complex infrastructure project.
