Job Description
Directhaul, a leading transportation company in Australia, is seeking an experienced mechanic to join their team. As a key member of the workshop crew, you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing the company's fleet of trucks and trailers.
* Maintain a modern and well-presented fleet of vehicles, adhering to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
* Perform regular servicing and repairs of equipment, ensuring compliance with NHVAS and truck safe requirements.
* Ensure all Directhaul equipment is presented to the highest possible standard.
* Monitor and maintain high safety standards within the workshop area, preventing unauthorized entry and enforcing the use of ignition sources within designated zones.
* Report any non-conformances or safety matters to the Workshop Supervisor/Manager.
* Accurately complete servicing and repair paperwork in accordance with Directhaul Maintenance guidelines.
* Comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
* Attend and actively participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
* Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Follow instructions from the Workshop Manager/Supervisor for daily duties and workloads.
* Take responsibility for your own health and safety, reporting any hazards or incidents.
This role involves managing the maintenance of fleet vehicles across multiple regions, including call-outs for asset breakdowns and potential interstate fleet maintenance.
