This accreditation reflects our technical excellence and gives us a competitive edge in delivering high-impact energy and power monitoring solutions across Australia.Our team is passionate about quality, innovation, and performance, and we're looking for someone who shares this commitment to excellence in delivery.The RoleWe're looking for a Power Quality & Electrical Power Monitoring Specialist who thrives in the field and enjoys solving complex power quality and monitoring challenges.
This role is heavily delivery-focused, with a strong technical hands-on component across PME, harmonics, and power factor correction.While this position centres on technical execution, there is a clear and supported pathway toward a Business Development Manager (BDM) role for the right candidate, typically within 24 months.Key Responsibilities:Technical Delivery & Execution:Deploy Power Monitoring Expert (PME) at customer sites, primarily across SA and nationally as required.Install, configure, and commission Schneider Electric and third-party systems for power monitoring, automation, and control.Perform software configuration, system integration, and commissioning of Power Monitoring Expert (PME), Power SCADA Expert (PSE), and Wonderware platforms.Deliver power quality solutions, including:Harmonic filtering and mitigationPower factor correction (PFC)Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for installed systems.Provide technical training and documentation for clients post-deployment.Interpret electrical drawings and understand communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, BACnet.Work around electrical infrastructure: switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, etc.Ensure project delivery meets safety, quality, and performance standards.Future-Focused Business Development (Pathway Component):Understand customer pain points and identify value-add opportunities in existing and new projects.Work closely with senior leadership to learn the fundamentals of solution selling, customer engagement, and pipeline building.Assist in shaping offers that leverage our EcoXpert accreditation as a technical differentiator.Support tender responses and pre-sales efforts with detailed technical inputs.Opportunity to grow into a BDM role with a target of $1M in annual revenue and shareholder status after 18 months of proven success.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field – or equivalent hands-on experience.Minimum 5 years' experience in power quality, harmonics, PFC systems, and EPMS commissioning.Proven expertise with Schneider Electric software: PME, PSE, Wonderware.Knowledge of power systems, including distribution, monitoring, and protection.Strong working knowledge of field protocols: Modbus, IEC 61850, BACnet.Comfortable with on-site project work, including national travel and customer interfacing.Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.Safety-conscious with an ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.Desirable (not essential):HMI configuration, database work (SQL), or basic programming (Python, Java, Visual Basic).Familiarity with critical power infrastructure (switchgear, UPS, gensets, etc.
