Sanctuary Personnel - Experienced Social Worker (Children in Need/Child Protection)
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative recruitment agency, has a new permanent position for an Experienced Social Worker within the Children in Need/Child Protection Team. The role is full-time and based in Knowsley.
The salary for this position is up to £42,708 per annum .
Responsibilities
1. Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children, young people, and their families in Knowsley.
2. Carry out timely assessments in line with the Framework for Assessment for Children and Families and Working Together guidance.
3. Ensure assessments and planning actively involve relevant agencies, the child/young person, and their family.
4. Engage in direct, child-centred work with children and young people.
5. Practice within the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) appropriate to your grade and experience.
6. Manage a complex and varied caseload.
7. Support Newly Qualified Social Workers through the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.
8. Develop care plans that consider the views and wishes of children and young people.
9. Maintain high-standard case records and produce reports according to service policies and national guidelines.
10. Work in an anti-oppressive manner, ensuring case records reflect this approach.
11. Participate in developmental activities and promote service improvement.
12. Pursue ongoing personal and professional development to meet Social Work England and service standards.
13. Perform any other duties necessary to meet service objectives.
Requirements
* A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
