Position Title: Sport4All Inclusion Coach – Lockyer Valley/Toowoomba

Time Fraction: 0.6 EFT (3 days per week)
Remuneration: $66,667 pro rata ($40,000 equivalent) + 12% super
Reports to: State Manager – Southern Qld
Get Skilled Access is searching for the following person:
- A person who has disability or lived connection to disability,
- Who has a great connection with their community.
- Who is passionate and motivated to build the confidence of community sport clubs and schools to include people with disabilities in all aspects of sport (playing and non-playing).

About Sport4All
The Sport4All (S4A) Program has been commissioned and funded by the Federal Government to build inclusion capability in community and school sport.
The Sport4All (S4A) Program employs local Inclusion Coaches into communities to help sporting clubs and schools to be more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. The program is designed and delivered by Get Skilled Access (GSA).
Role Location
The Inclusion Coach will be based within either Lockyer Valley & Toowoomba LGA, and work across four local government areas: Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Toowoomba Regional Council, Sommerset Regional Council and Southern Downs Regional Council.
About the Inclusion Coach
- The ‘Inclusion Coach’ must be a person with disability and/or lived connection to disability who has been involved in sport as a player, volunteer, or administrator. The Inclusion Coach will work within the region to connect local sporting clubs and schools to complete the Sport4All training program.
- The Inclusion Coach will use their real-life disability experiences and the experiences of their network to build relationships with the clubs and schools.
- The Inclusion Coach will be managed by the Get Skilled Access Sport4All State Manager Southern Queensland
Key responsibilities and activities of the role would include:
- Connect and work with the Get Skilled Access Sport4All Team
- You will understand the S4A program goals and work towards achieving these through working with local sporting clubs and schools.
- You will work to engage clubs and schools with the Sport4All program’s training and resources.
- You will create a plan for contacting and keeping connections with sport clubs and schools for reporting purposes.
- You will share with all people from all groups within the community the opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities, including First Nations people.
- You will keep records and data up to date on which clubs, schools and organisations connect and complete the Sport4All Program, as well as keeping record of the people with disability participating in sport within the local community.
Essential Skills, knowledge and qualities:
- Ability to create strong relationships with the people and groups interested or connected to the Sport4All Program.
- Ability to use a range of communication types including face to face, email, and phone, to connect with many different people and groups within the community.
- Communication skills in writing, public speaking and helping people or groups to better understand inclusion in sport with different activities.
- Passionate and motivated, with the ability to work independently and to be resourceful while working without always being told what to do.
- Ability to plan your trips and travel around the local community, including to different schools and sporting clubs, centers, grounds or programs etc.
- Will be organised and able to manage administration tasks, and have technology skills including setting meetings, emails, phone calls, recording data etc.

Other Relevant Requirements
- This role may be required to travel within Qld.
- Due to the nature of the role and the sport industry, this role may require some work outside ordinary work hours, including evenings and weekends to attend meetings and events.
Conditions of Employment
- Right to work in Australia (e.g. Australian citizen, or permanent residency status, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia).
- You are required to notify Get Skilled Access if your right to work in Australia ceases during the term of your employment.
- Current Working with Children Check (employee)
- Holds or ability to hold, and maintain a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment (must be provided by candidate prior to commencing in role)
