Job Opportunity – Master Shucker
Byron Bay Oyster Merchants / Hotel Marvell
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Master Shucker to join our team at the Byron Bay Oyster Bar. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their craft, has attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The Role
* Shucking premium oysters with precision and speed fresh from our tank
* Packaging oysters to brand standards for service and wholesale orders
* Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times
* Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
* 4 days per week, 8:00am – 12:00pm
* Additional kitchen shifts available for the right candidate
About You
* Proven experience in oyster shucking (or willing to demonstrate competency at trial)
* Fast, clean, and consistent with strong product knowledge
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Food safety awareness essential
* Positive attitude and a team player
