About The Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the friendly first point of contact at Council’s front counter and call centre, handling enquiries, requests, and payments. You’ll also support administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and contribute to improving customer service processes. In this role you will:
Provide professional, efficient, and accurate customer service across Council servicesMaintain confidentiality of Council and customer informationAccurately record and manage customer enquiries and follow up within service standardsProcess payments and assist with daily balancing tasksLiaise with other departments to resolve customer issuesParticipate in training and contribute to customer communication and service improvements
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a diverse communityCalm and professional approach to handling difficult customers and situationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping and cash handlingAbility to work well independently and within a teamMinimum of 2 years customer service experienceCertificate III in Business or similar relevant qualifications
Position Details
Part-Time, 66.64 hours fortnight.Annual salary: $71,415 per annum (pro rata)
