Job Title: Compliance Officer

This role forms a critical part of our senior management team, responsible for maintaining and strengthening the organisation's compliance framework across all operational areas. The Compliance Manager ensures the business meets its legal obligations while supporting internal goals and aligning with industry best practice. You will lead the development and implementation of compliance programs, review internal policies, advise management on risk, and respond effectively to compliance issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

* Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program in line with NHVAS (Mass, Maintenance & Fatigue) and WHS requirements.
* Maintain and monitor internal controls across all sites.
* Conduct proactive audits of business practices and documentation to identify and mitigate risk.
* Work collaboratively with managers and HR to address and resolve compliance matters.
* Develop and oversee action plans following audits or identified compliance breaches.
* Educate and support staff on regulatory obligations and industry standards.
* Respond to employee concerns relating to compliance or workplace legislative requirements.
* Provide regular reporting and advice to senior management regarding compliance status and risks.

Additional Duties:
* Maintain and update company manuals, policies, and procedures in line with legislative or operational changes.
* Support compliance with HACCP food safety standards where applicable.
* Manage and renew operational permits and required legal approvals.
* Coordinate training programs based on a Training Needs Analysis to ensure staff capability meets compliance demands.

Requirements:
* An experienced and proactive Compliance Officer is required to join our high-performing team.
* You must have a strong understanding of NHVAS (Mass, Maintenance & Fatigue) and WHS requirements.
* You should be able to develop and implement effective compliance programs.
* You must be able to work collaboratively with managers and HR to address and resolve compliance matters.
* You should be able to provide regular reporting and advice to senior management regarding compliance status and risks.
