Overview
Take a senior leadership role driving operational excellence across a flagship, high-volume pack shed and farm operation. Our client, a vertically integrated national horticultural business, is seeking an experienced farm professional to lead a high-performing team, influence company-wide strategy, and deliver results across production, people, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day farm and pack shed operations to maximise efficiency, crop yield, and product quality.
* Oversee seasonal orchard activities, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and quality control processes.
* Manage and develop all farm staff, fostering safety, engagement, accountability, and high performance.
* Maintain and optimise infrastructure, equipment, and operational assets.
* Plan and execute production schedules, labour management, resource allocation, and budgets.
* Drive continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational innovation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and industry networks.
* Represent the business at industry forums, events, and with external partners.
Skills & Experience
* Proven senior leadership experience in farm, pack shed, or agribusiness operations.
* Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving ability.
* Demonstrated experience in team development, engagement & high-performance culture.
* Knowledge of crop production, post-harvest processes, irrigation & farm infrastructure.
* Commercial acumen with the ability to influence broader operational & strategic outcomes.
* Lead a flagship, high-volume pack shed with company-wide operational influence.
